Tips for Testing Children for COVID

Who would have though back in 2020 that in 2022 we would still be dealing with the COVID pandemic with such intensity. Anyone else want to scream or swear?

When children in NSW and Victoria return to school this year, the current (as of January 23rd) recommendation is for all students and school staff to have two Rapid Antigen Tests (RATs) per week for at least the first four weeks.

Some people are feeling okay about this, but I know there are many parents, children, teachers, school staff and school counsellors feeling a bit uneasy, nervous or anxious about this.

Extra tip: If your child has never had a test before, don't make the first time you do the test on the first day back at school as this might cause unnecessary stress for everyone on a day that might already be feeling a little stressful. Try and have a practice run a few days earlier.
